Tip Loader For Pipette Tip Refill

Variable volume micropipettes are the ideal precision instrument for the liquid measurement needs of clinical testing and quality control laboratories. A micropipette is a laboratory device used to absorb and transfer small volumes of liquids. The volumes that can be captured by these instruments vary according to the model and type of pipette: the most common, called p20, p200 and p1000, admit a maximum of 20, 200 and 1000 μl, respectively. It is noteworthy that the use of micropipettes allows the use of different liquids without having to wash the device: for this, disposable plastic tips are used, which are usually sterile.

Miniature Fixed Volume Micropipette, 1000ul

These low cost Li'lpet miniature fixed volume pipettes are specially designed for use in general labs. Comes with one disposable natural colored 1000µL tip. The tips are inexpensive and can be bulk purchased. This 1000µL mini pipette features: ±0.80% accuracy. The pipette's tip cone is designed to accept both regular 200 µl tips or ultra micro tips up to 20 µl. The two step plunger ensures very high accuracy and is great for reverse pipetting and repetitive pipetting. The 130mm length is optimum for comfortable pipetting sessions. Fully autoclavable at 121°C, 15 psi for 10 to 15 minutes. All the Li'lpet mini pipettes have a color-coded plunger for easy volume identification.

Scilogex Micropipette Pipetor, 100

This hand held pipettor from Scilogex is a general purpose pipettor for the accurate and precise sampling and dispensing of liquid volumes. The pipettor operates on the air displacement principle and uses disposable 1000µL tips. A tip ejector helps eliminate the safety hazards associated with contamination. The volume of the pipettor is clearly shown through the handle grip window. The delivery volume is set by turning the thumb button clockwise or anticlockwise. Features: Lightweight and ergonomic design; Clear digital display; Integral tip ejector for access into narrow tubes; Easy to calibrate and maintain with tool supplied; Autoclavable tip-cone; Used with “universal” pipette tips; 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

Microlit Micropipette

FAQ of Micropipette

What are micropipettes commonly used for?

A micropipette is a common yet an essential laboratory instrument used to accurately and precisely transfer volumes of liquid in the microliter range.

What are common mistakes when using a micropipette?

  • Failure to Pre-Wet Pipette Tip.
  • Disregarding Temperature.
  • Tip Wiping.
  • Choosing the Wrong Pipetting Mode.
  • Working Too Quickly.
  • Pipetting at an Angle.
  • Using the Wrong Pipette Tips.

What should you always remember to do when using a micropipette?

  • Select the volume.
  • Set the tip.
  • Press and hold the plunger at the first stop.
  • Place the tip in the liquid.
  • Slowly release the plunger.
  • Pause for a second and then move the tip.
  • Insert the tip into the delivery vessel.
  • Press the plunger to the second stop.

How do micropipettes work?

In the air cushion principle, an air cushion separates the liquid in the tip from the pis- ton inside the pipette. The piston moves the air cushion and the liquid is thus taken up into the pipette tip or dispensed out of it. The air cushion thus works like an elas- tic spring, to which the liquid sticks.

Why are micropipettes accurate?

The accuracy of a micropipette decreases somewhat when micropipettes are set to deliver volumes close to the lowest values in their range. Precision provides information about reproducibility, without any reference to a standard. Precision reflects random errors that can never be entirely eliminated from a procedure.
